Some people are aware of Projectwonderful.com as a cheap way to get your favorite 125×125 ad on some websites. But I don’t think that some people realize how cheap it actually is to promote affiliate productsand services with Projectwonderful.com.
What do I mean? Well, PW allows you to create as many ads as you want and since you are able to determine where the ad links to, it’s an easy way to through your affiliate link in the mix.
It can be a little harder to find a website that fits an affiliate you want to promote, but if you look hard enough you can find some. Bidding on keywords might be an easy way to target, but trying it this way could also get you some quick cash for pennies a day.
I recently did an experiment on a website that pays people to visit other sites and sign up with their information. Otherwise known as, GPT (get paid to) websites. I thought if I put a banner for my best convertingaffiliate network (Neverblueads.com) maybe I could get some referrals. And since NeverBlueAds.com pays 2% for the life of the referral, I figured it might be a good way to make extra money without doing anything.
So, I found this website and to place my banner on the homepage (very important) was .50 per day. A little steep if you want to make any money, but the website averaged about 3-4K visits per day over the last 30 days. This might be a good converter.
I bought the space for ONE day and had 15 uniqueclickthroughs. I didn’t think this was bad at all. Then I went to my Neverblueads.com account page to see if any of these clicks had signed up. They sure did, I have 6 referrals right now. The bad thing is that anyone can sign up and right now only 2 of them are making money.
At a total cost of .67 to me, I think it was a pretty cheap way to gain affiliate referrals. What do you think?
